GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING

South Central Chapter of American Coach Association

March 27, 2012

Lake Conroe KOA                 Montgomery, Texas

The meeting was called to order by the president, Robin Fagala. George Pierot led us in prayer. The pledge was given by the membership.

A motion was made by Dick Holmes and seconded by John Viator that we dispense with reading of the minutes since they are posted on our website.

Treasurer’s report:    Bruce Pinnell stated that there is a balance of approximately $13,000.00 as of March , 2012. A check from the South East Chapter for $90.89 was given to the treasurer to deposit.

New Members since our last meeting were announced by the president. They are as follows:

Herb and Nell Dryer, Castroville, Texas

Ed and Dorothy Hearon, Cosby, Texas

Jim and Vicki Getgood, Smithville, Texas

Kevin and Lisa Cox, Fair Oaks Ranch, Texas

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

Membership:               Dave Parsons reported that there are now 102 members and all persons in attendance   at the rally are paid up until 2013. Chapter dues are $12 per year and due each January. To determine when your ACA dues are payable you can find the date on your ACA magazine.

Wellness:                       Mary Grace Rentrop reported on some of our members need to be remembered.

Historian:                      No Report. It was requested that we need a volunteer to take this position.

Directory:                      No Report. It was requested that we need a volunteer to take this position. .

Getting to Know You:              No Report. It was requested that we need a volunteer to take this position.

Wagon Masters: Don & Francia Gentry and Roger & Carol Bartel thanked everyone for attendance.

OLD BUSINESS:       There was no old business to discuss.

NEW BUSINESS:       Tony Todd, Wagon Master for the 2013 ACA National Rally discussed aspects of the spring rally for which our chapter is the host.  The theme will be LONE STAR RALLY. He presented a logo we plan to use. Rosters were passed out showing all committees and members responsible.  Each committee will submit their proposed budget to Tony because cost submission is due this month from us to American Coach. A tour of the Montgomery KOA facilities was conducted.

Jerry Askins made a motion that future correspondence from our South Central Chapter contain the phrase “God Bless America”. This motion passed unanimously.

The decoration committee will make center piece coaches and these will be auctioned off at the end of our National Rally and moneys raised will be donated to the Scholarship Fund.

A volunteer was sought for hosting our Fall Rally and Christmas Rally in 2102.

Raffle tickets are being sold for ACA shirts and jackets by Cal Aaron. Winners will be drawn at the end of this rally. Money donated to the Scholarship Fund.

ACA National Rally April 29 – May 4 2012 in Sevierville, Tennessee. Everyone is encouraged to attend. 

Tony Todd made a motion to adjourn. Dorsey Brown seconded. Motion carried.
